Guidava respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected through guidava.com, how Guidava uses and protects that information, and the choices available to you.

Information You Provide

When you submit the Guidava early-interest form, Guidava collects your first name and email address. You may also choose to identify which type of visitor best describes you.

Guidava may also collect information that you voluntarily provide in other communications with Guidava.

If you select Sign up for news and updates, Guidava may use your email address to send occasional information about Guidava, Sort It Out, product availability, and related developments.

If you do not select the email signup option, your form submission may still be retained as an early-interest submission but will not be used to send you future marketing communications.

Information Collected When You Visit the Website

This website is hosted by Squarespace. Squarespace collects certain technical information when visitors use the website in order to operate, secure, and provide its services.

Depending on site settings, this information may include information about your browser, network and device; your IP address; pages you visited before or while using this website; and information about your interaction with the website, such as clicks, internal links, pages viewed, scrolling, searches, and timestamps.

Guidava may use Squarespace Analytics to understand general site traffic and activity and improve the website.

The Guidava signup form also uses Google reCAPTCHA to help protect the website and form from automated or abusive submissions.

How Guidava Uses Information

Guidava uses information collected through the website to operate and improve the website; respond to and manage interest in Guidava and Sort It Out; maintain records of signup requests; prevent spam, misuse, and security problems; understand general website usage; and, where a visitor has chosen to receive them, send Guidava news and product updates.

Email Communications and Unsubscribing

Guidava uses Squarespace Email Campaigns to manage marketing email communications.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the Unsubscribe link included in those emails. Squarespace will update your marketing status so that you no longer receive those marketing communications.

Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not automatically delete historical form-submission or administrative records. To request deletion of personal information, contact anne@guidava.com.

How Information Is Stored and Shared

Guidava uses service providers to operate the website and related communications.

Squarespace provides website hosting, forms, contact management, analytics, and email marketing services.

Form submissions may also be delivered to Guidava's Google Workspace email account and backed up in a private Google Drive spreadsheet. Google reCAPTCHA is used to help protect the signup form from automated submissions.

These providers may process information as necessary to provide their services to Guidava and in accordance with their applicable agreements and privacy practices.

Guidava does not sell or rent personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Guidava may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to a valid legal process, protect the rights or security of Guidava or others, or investigate misuse of the website.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

This website uses cookies and similar technologies. Necessary cookies are used to operate and securely deliver the website. Depending on Guidava's site settings and your cookie choices, analytics and performance cookies may also be used to understand site traffic and activity.

Third-party services used to operate or secure the website, including Squarespace and Google reCAPTCHA, may receive technical information about use of the website as described in their own privacy practices.

Guidava does not currently use third-party advertising pixels or behavioral advertising based on visitors' activity across unrelated websites.

Some web browsers offer a Do Not Track setting. Guidava does not currently use browser Do Not Track signals as a separate privacy-control mechanism. Visitors may control cookies through any cookie controls provided on the website and through their own browser settings.

Children and Younger Users

This website and its email signup are intended for individuals age 13 and older.

If you are under 13, please do not submit personal information through this website. A parent or guardian may sign up using their own contact information.

Guidava does not knowingly seek to collect personal information directly from children under 13. If Guidava learns that personal information has been collected directly from a child under 13 without appropriate authorization, Guidava will take reasonable steps to delete that information promptly.

Data Retention

Guidava retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including managing interest in Guidava, maintaining appropriate business records, honoring marketing opt-outs, and complying with applicable legal obligations.

Guidava may retain a limited record of an unsubscribe or other privacy preference when necessary to ensure that the preference continues to be honored.

Guidava uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the information collected to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure.

No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
